Planned Giving

Planned Giving

To the Bishop Janes Congregation:

What is a legacy gift? How can I be sure Bishop Janes is remembered in my will? What if I want to support a special ministry in my will? What is a charitable gift annuity? Is there a way I can give money now and receive tax benefits?

For many Christians, leaving a legacy to the future ministry of the church accomplishes and fulfills the dream of leaving the world a better place than when we found it. For most of us, we want to know that we have made a difference in the lives of others. We want to know that our lives have served a real purpose and have been of value to others. Through Planned Giving, we can satisfy the need to share with others.

Recognizing the importance of this form of stewardship, Bishop Janes has developed a Cooperative Planned Giving Program to provide you the opportunity to understand bequests and other planned gifts, and to help you put those plans into action. This program was created in cooperation with the United Methodist Greater New Jersey Conference to provide support and opportunity for planned and legacy giving.

Your planned gift will enrich one or more of the many ministries and programs of Bishop Janes. It can create a legacy for you and your family to make a difference in the lives of many individuals, children and families for years to come.
