Another Men’s Early-Morning Discussion Group Starting
Interest in starting another early-morning (6:30-7:00 AM) men’s discussion group has been expressed by some of the men in the congregation. Any men who would like to gather for conversation are invited to contact Pastor Dave Dutcher, 908-766-11088, X3; bjumc@aol.com.

IHN (Interfaith Hospitality Network) is in need of the following items:

  • Laundry & Dish Detergent
  • Cleaning Supplies – Clorox, 409, sponges, etc.

Donations may be left in Bishop Janes UMC kitchen labeled ‘IHN’. If you need further information, please contact Dottie Benjamin. Thank you for your continued support and generosity.

Thank you to the Bishop Janes UMC congregation for their continued faithfulness in supplying donations of food for the Somerset County Food Bank. Thank you also to Gordon Clark for his constant faithfulness in delivering grocery bags of food on an ongoing basis! We have been made aware that donations to the food bank have been “down across the board and that the lower economy results in more need there.

A specific and immediate request has been made for canned meat, Parmalat (milk boxes) and jelly, but of course, any items are appreciated. –At the moment, the food bank seems to have quite a bit of peanut butter, but lacks matching jars of jelly. Generally, the following items are always welcome: cereal, macaroni & cheese, (peanut butter/jelly) crackers, soups, canned meats, stews, fruits, vegetables, tomato sauce, tuna fish and (Parmalot milk.) Also, for the children of these needy families; juice boxes, puddings, etc. and school supplies are always appreciated. Any items of this type may be dropped off to the church as sson as possible, and they shall be delivered at once. Thank you from your Missions & Social Concerns Ministry Team.
