Worship is not a spectator sport at Bishop Janes. Inspirational, joyful worship is one of our core values. We come together on Sunday morning to offer our love, our praise, and ourselves to the God who gave his own Son to give us new life. We do this through music, media, spoken word, and congregational prayer and liturgy.
A worship tradition arises whenever the transforming power of the Gospel encounters human culture. From the Roman Empire in Jesus’ day to twenty-first century sub-Saharan Africa, South America, and South Korea, distinctive worship traditions reflect a joyful awareness of God’s love. These may be contemplative or celebratory, individualistic or liturgical, cerebral or exuberant, but they are all part of what it means to be a follower of Jesus.
At our 9:30 AM all-ages, whole-family worship service, we celebrate and blend diverse traditions of worship to offer ourselves — heart, mind, and soul — to the God who loves us and calls us his own. Come join our celebration!
